A new poll shows 30% of Michigan residents oppose closing schools for COVID-19.

And that percentage is higher than the US average. Michiganders are also more opposed to closing restaurants and putting restrictions on large gatherings than other Americans are.

The new Democracy Fund and UCLA Nationscape poll, cited by M-Live, spoke with roughly 850 Michigan residents, with each of the two major parties representing nearly half of the respondents. It also showed that more people in the state are supportive of their governor than were other respondents in other states.
