The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting at a home in the 52,000 block of Ridgeway Lane in Elkhart.

They arrived shortly after 1 p.m. and found an adult man had been shot and was suffering from a minor injury. The suspect, an adult woman, was still in the home and refused to exit.

The Elkhart County Regional SWAT Team was called in and the woman left the house shortly before 3 p.m. and is in custody.

No further information has been released and the investigation is ongoing.
