The Elkhart airport has a new manager.

On Thursday, Mayor Rod Roberson announced that Andy Jones has been appointed to the role.

The Elkhart Truth reports Jones is a lifelong resident and has prior experience in the city government.

He previously served as airport manager for 12 years in the past, working under three previous mayors.

Jones comes to the office after serving as the director of downtown development for the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce.
