Beloved entertainer and Notre Dame alum Regis Philbin has been laid to rest at The University of Notre Dame.

A private funeral service was held at The Basilica and he was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the campus Wednesday.

Philbin, no stranger to South Bend, graduated from Notre Dame in 1953. He passed away on July 24, shortly before his 89th birthday.
