Sheriff: Alcohol factor in crash that injured Union teenager

Alcohol appears to be a factor in a crash that injured a Union, Michigan, teenager, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The collision happened just before 5 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, on M-40 Hwy, near Bald Hill Street in Newberg Township, the sheriff’s office reported.

The 19-year-old woman was traveling south bound on M-40 when she crashed, hitting a mailbox and utility pole. She was taken to Three Rivers Hospital for treatment.
