Niles woman, 90, killed in crash at U.S. 12 and M-60

A 90-year-old woman from Niles was killed in a crash on U.S. 12.

The collision happened around 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the U.S. 12 and M-60 interchange when Patricia McIntyre attempted to make a left turn and pulled into the path of another vehicle, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The second car caught fire and the Benton Harbor man behind the wheel and two children were helped out of the vehicle by some other drivers. They suffered just minor injuries.

McIntyre was pronounced dead at the scene.
