No injuries after fire at Irish Hills Apartments in South Bend

No injuries were reported after a fire at Irish Hills Apartments in South Bend.

Crews from the South Bend Fire Department were called to the complex around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 5 and, on arrival, found heavy smoke and flames coming from the roof of the structure.

Crews made a quick attack on the fire and achieved a quick knockdown containing the fire to one unit, while clearing other units in the building.

The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
