It’s a guilty plea from the former South Bend Police officer who shot and killed Eric Logan… but the plea was in regard to a separate case.

The case against Ryan O’Neill, stemming from an alleged encounter with a prostitute while on duty, happened about a month before the Logan shooting occurred.

Whiel in court on Tuesday, Sep. 8, O’Neill entered a guilty plea on the charge of ghost employment.

If the judge accepts the remaining charges of official misconduct and public indecency would be dismissed.

O’Neill would be sentenced of two years of probation unless he serves the first year with no violations, then the time could be cut in half.

O’Neill will be sentenced in late October.
