Area high school football teams being impacted by COVID

The Plymouth High School Rockie Football Team has been forced to shut down operations due to COVID-19.

Monday evening the school administration said that a member of the coaching staff had tested positive for the coronavirus, resulting in the quarantine of the football team and most of the coaching staff until October 12.

Games this week and next against Concord and Goshen have been canceled. Players will be attending classes virtually. Concord has already made plans to play Friday night against unbeaten Eastside.

In Michigan, a game scheduled Friday night between Edwardsburg and Plainwell was canceled Tuesday afternoon. A statement was pending from Plainwell Public Schools explaining the decision. The Eddies were reportedly looking for a new opponent for this weekend.
