North Judson man, 41, sentenced after being caught with 2,000+ images of child pornography

A former gang member from Starke County will spend time in prison for child pornography.

Henry Wood, 41, of North Judson, will serve 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to receipt of child pornography.

Wood, a former gang member with an extensive criminal history, had more than 2,000 photos and videos of child pornography on his cell phone, according to court documents. Many of the images featured children under the age of 12.

“This sentence demonstrates the FBI’s commitment to investigating cases of child pornography with a sense of urgency to protect children from predators who engage in this type of activity,” said Special Agent in Charge Paul Keenan, FBI Indianapolis. “Protecting the most innocent and vulnerable members of our community, and ensuring those who would harm them are held accountable, is a responsibility the FBI and our law enforcement partners take seriously.”

Wood will spend five years on probation after his release from prison.
