Man injured in Elkhart County shooting drives to convenience store for help

A man was injured in a shooting, overnight, in Elkhart County.

Police were called around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, to the area of Benham and Indiana Avenue.

The victim was struck in the leg but managed to drive to a convenience store to get help.

He was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for treatment.

So far, no word of what led to the shooting or any suspects or arrests.
