Lakeville volunteer firefighters rescued a man who fell through thin ice.
It happened on Saturday, Dec. 26.
According to a post on the Lakeville Volunteer Firefighter Facebook page, the man was trying to rescue his dog. Though the man was rescued, howver, the dog died.
The department is using the incident to remind people not to walk out on thin or questionable ice.
