One person killed in shooting in 1200 block of S. Main St. in Elkhart

One person was killed in a shooting in Elkhart.

Police were called around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, to the 1200 block of South Main Street regarding a shooting with injuries.

On scene, they found a male victim with a gunshot wounds. The victim
was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Elkhart County Homicide Unit say there is no immediate threat to public safety.
