A local e-learning organization was awarded $10,000 by an Elkhart philanthropy group this week.

100 Women Who Care gather every three months to learn about local needs and then pick a charitable cause to support with a combined total of their $100 gifts.

The Elkhart Education Foundation’s EdCamp was selected for this month’s donation.

EdCamp is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade, Monday through Friday, that are enrolled in hybrid learning models.

The program is in need of an additional $30,000 to operate for the remainder of the school year.
