The public schools in Edwardsburg were closed on Monday because of COVID, but not for the reason you might think.

Superintendent Jim Knoll said it was due to a number of staff absences related to side effects from their second COVID vaccinations on Saturday.

Due to lingering symptoms, remote learning was not possible.

School returned to normal in Edwardsburg on Tuesday.
