Two arrested on drug-related charges after being found passed out in vehicle

Two people were arrested on drug-related charges after police in Marshall County found them passed out in a car.

Officers saw the man and woman in a vehicle at a Speedway Gas Station in Lapaz around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 18.

Medics were called to evaulate the two while a police K9 sniffed out approximately 20 grams of methamphetamine, eight grams of heroin, a meth pipe, and controlled substance pills, according to police, as reported by 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Richard Perkinson Jr., 36, faces the charges of dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in a narcotic drug, and possession of paraphernalia, in addition to an active parole warrant.

Christene Shepherd, 29, faces charges of dealing in methamphetamine, dealing in a narcotic drug, and possession of paraphernalia.
