Several Indiana State Police troopers converge on semi for search

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

It wasn’t one, it was more than six state troopers who pulled over a semi, on Friday, April 16, on the toll road in LaGrange County.

An eyewitness told The Elkhart Truth there were about eight officers with guns drawn, cuffing the driver. More officers arrived.

Two others got out of the truck and the rig was searched. A state police spokesman said it began with a 911 call and that the situation was not as serious as police had believed.

One person was arrested for being in possession of a handgun without a permit.
