A young Kosciusko County girl has lost her brave battle with a rare form of brain cancer.

Payton Slaymaker’s mother confirmed on social media Thursday that her 10 year-old daughter passed away on Wednesday.

Payton was diagnosed with the rare, inoperable tumor in 2019. At the time she was given lass than a year to live.

Her fight against the disease attracted support from all over the country.
