Boy, 14, injured in shooting on McKinley Street in Elkhart

A 14-year-old boy was injured in a shooting in Elkhart.

The shooting happened around 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, in the 1020 block of McKinley Street.

Officers arrived on scene and located the teen in an alley.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. There have been no arrests announced, as of Saturday night.

There is no immediate threat to public safety, according to Elkhart City Police.
