The Better Business Bureau says there are scammers capitalizing on FEMA’s latest COVID program designed to help grieving families.

Rick Walz of the BBB says the program is real, but the scammers are trying to find ways to get the personal info of you or a family member, or even your money.

The scammer will contact the potential victim through text, a phone call, email, or even social media. The BBB wants to remind you that FEMA will never contact you unless you’ve reached out to them for assistance first.
