A South Bend woman turned herself into police, this week, to face charges in connection with a serious injury crash that happened in February.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office says 27-year-old Searra Huereca was driving north on Bremen Highway, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on.

Huereca and the other driver were injured.

Investigators say two semi-burnt blunts were found in Huereca’s pocket. A blood test showed THC in her system.

She’s charged with Operating a Vehicle with a controlled substance in the blood.
