South Bend’s “Grow Downtown” program is returning this season.

The flower program is in its eighth year, and is meant to improve the landscape downtown by accepting funds to plant flowers throughout the area.

Supporters can sponsor a flower basket for $50 or a flower bowl for $100.

Those who sponsor the program will receive a personalized plaque placed on or near their flower purchase and recognition on Downtown South Bend’s website.

Spring flowers will be planted in mid-May and fall plantings will last as late as November.
