LaPorte man arrested for alleged involvement in selling stolen auto parts

Hundreds of stolen car parts have been discovered being sold out of a local business.

LaPorte County police say William T. Scott was arrested on Thursday after an investigation at his business, Catalytic Exchange LLC on US 421, discovered and recovered the parts.

The bust was the result of more than a month of interviews following a series of burglaries.

Scott was released on bail and faces a felony count of Corrupt Business Influence.
