A third of Americans now say they are planning on retiring later due to COVID-19…

A study from Age Wave and Edward Jones says the pandemic has had a negative impact on the confidence Americans have about meeting their previous retirement timelines.

Many Americans say the pandemic was a financial wake-up call that caused them to reconsider their plans, and women and pre-retirees are feeling the most negative effects.

The new numbers come from tracking surveys conducted between May of 2020 and March of 2021. About 69 million Americans responded that COVID has prompted them to change the timing of their retirement.
