Two juveniles were detained Wednesday for carrying a firearm without a permit, and one of the weapons was reported stolen in Michigan.
The South Bend Police said officers responded to a suspicious vehicle call shortly after 6:30 Wednesday morning. The two juveniles were asleep in the car, and the passenger had a handgun with an extended magazine in their lap.
A second gun was found when the suspects were taken into custody.
