Butler University announced Monday afternoon it is requiring all students, faculty and staff to be fully vaccinated for the fall semester.

The school says everyone will need to a COVID shot by August 1.

In a Frequently Asked Questions page on its website, Butler says it will consider requests for exemption from students and staff who “have valid health-related, religious or strongly held personal reasons” for not getting the vaccine.

If someone isn’t able to get one before that date, Butler intends to host a vaccination clinic on campus in August if they’re able to secure enough doses of the vaccine, but still encourages students and staff to try to get the shot in the next month and a half.

The school also mentions it has the legal right to require vaccinations.
