The jury trial began on Monday, June 21, for a Plymouth man accused of murder.

Duane Longacre is accused of using a machete to kill Jill McCarty in a home in June 2019. Police say Longacre then dumped her body in a bathtub and set a fire at the house before trying to escape. Officers arrested Longacre as he tried to run away.

Longacre is charged with murder, arson, and resisting law enforcement.
