Former Notre Dame women’s basketball star Skylar Diggins-Smith is heading to Tokyo.

This week Diggins got the call from Team USA head coach Dawn Staley — saying that she had made the roster that will take on the rest of the world in basketball at the Olympic Games in July.

She is joined by her former teammate at Notre Dame Jewell Loyd.

This is Diggins first time making the Olympic roster.

The former Miss Indiana Basketball has played on Team USA before at the U-18 World Championships and the World University Games.

Diggins is currently playing for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA.
