Michigan ranks in the top ten best states for teen drivers.

That’s according to a recent study by financial website WalletHub, which analyzed the teen-driving environment in all 50 states by looking at safety, the economic environment and driving laws in each state.

Michigan ranked sixth overall, and first in the economic environment category.

Michigan also ranked high in a sub-category: the lowest average cost for car repairs.

Meanwhile, Indiana ranked 36th overall.

The top five best states for teen drivers were ranked as New York, Oregon, Connecticut, Alaska and Massachusetts.

The lowest-ranked state was Wyoming.
