IRS is still way behind on just normal tax refunds this year! That should be priority over any kind of handouts by government. I know IRS is swamped with refunds, covid checks, and now this, but dont penalize taxpayers who filed taxes long ago. The child tax credit should not be done by monthly payments and whoever decided that wasnt thinking. IRS and Treasury have done a great job with all the extra handouts getting to people, but they are clearly lacking manpower to keep up!
