An Indian woman was harassed at the Porter County Fair, last week, by a man telling her she needed to “get out of the USA.”

That man, Scott Plaster, 61, of LaPorte, was taken into custody on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

The 28-year-old woman told police she was confronted by Plaster as she entered the fairgrounds.

Plaster kept telling her she was in the wrong country for her ethnicity, before she approached a fair employee for help.

Eventually, police came and took Plaster into custody.

During the arrest, Plaster called an officer a racial slur.
