Dowagaic man, 29, on motorcycle hospitalized after crash on Marcellus Highway

A 29-year-old Dowagiac man riding his motorcycle was taken to the hospital after he was struck by a vehicle.

The collision happened just before 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, on Marcellus Highway at Twin Lakes Road.

The 55-year-old man driving the car entered the intersection and told police the motorcyclist was in his blind spot and that he did not see him.

The motorcyclist lost control of his bike.

He was not wearing a helmet, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

There was no immediate word about the extent of his injuries.
