A young black bear was found dead on the side of the road in the 51000 block of State Road 15 on Wednesday, Aug. 18.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will attempt to transport the carcass for a necropsy.
The DNR says it is not the same bear that was roaming in southwestern Indiana and there haven’t been any sightings of black bears in this part of the state.
