Man who led police to Mercedes Lain’s body now charged with her murder

The man who last saw Mercedes Lain alive is now charged with her murder.

Justin Miller is the man whom Lain’s parents left her with for a weekend earlier in August.

The 11-month-old girl’s body was discovered in a rural part of Starke County.

The coroner says she had been hit in the head.

Investigators are now saying it was Miller who did so — and now he is charged with murder, on top of the neglect resulting in death charges.

Lain’s parents are also charged with neglect.
