Rake A Difference returns to Southwest Michigan

United Way of Southwest Michigan says senior citizens are now able to register to have volunteers help clear their yards and gutters of leaves this fall.

“Rake A Difference” is a free, volunteer-based service that United Way says helps seniors, 60 and older, who cannot physically compete and, or financially cannot afford the service otherwise.

Seniors in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren County can sign up for this program and will be serviced on a first come, first served basis.

The deadline to sign up as a volunteer or a recipient of these services is October 15.

Seniors can call 269-932-3554 to be put on the servicing list.
