MDOT removing some lane restrictions on projects for Labor Day Weekend

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

The Michigan Department of Transportation is scaling back some of their construction restrictions around the state for the Labor Day Holiday Weekend.

MDOT is removing lane restrictions on nearly 60% of its road and bridge projects to make travel easier for the holiday.

Starting at 3 p.m. Friday and going through 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, 83 of the 147 projects statewide will have the restrictions removed from work zones.

This includes I-94 projects in Berrien County at Britain and Crystal Avenues, M-139 between Linco and John Beers Roads, and US 131 in Constantine over the St. Joseph River between Broad St. and 3rd St.
