An elderly Valparaiso man was killed in a crash in LaPorte County.
The collision happened on Thursday, Nov. 4, at State Road 8 and County Road 875 West. Investigators say the driver of a box truck was heading westbound and was unable to avoid hitting 79-year-old Joseph Barker’s vehicle.
A witness told police Barker failed to stop at the intersection.
