Man, 31, arrested for series of armed robberies, robbery attempt in Elkhart

A man has been arrested for a series of armed robberies and a robbery attempt that happened on Friday, Oct. 29, in Elkhart.

Travis Sigler, 31, was arrested on suspicion of heists at gunpoint in the area of 528 Harrison St; in the parking lot outside the QC Mart (2637 S. Main St); and in the parking lot outside of Hardy’s Bar (610 S. Main St).

He was also arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery that occurred outside of Bowly’s Crystal Bar (109 Freight St.)

Two of the victims were women who handed over keys, a purse and other items.

In the incident that happened outside of Bowly’s Crystal Bar, the victim grabbed the gun and began fighting with the suspect.

The victim suffered an injury to the left side of his head when he was struck in the head with the firearm.
