There’s an eclipse coming next week longer than anyone has been able to enjoy since the middle ages.

On November 19  conditions will be perfect for the longest partial lunar eclipse in 580 years. The Holcomb Observatory in Indianapolis says the Great Partial Eclipse will cover all but 2.6% of the moon.

The full duration will run from 2:18 to 5:47 a.m., peaking at 4:02. At 3 and a half hours it’s the longest partial lunar eclipse since the 1440s.

NASA says it will be the longest eclipse of the 21st Century.
