Elkhart has approved a balanced 127-million-dollar budget for 2027. The City Council passed the spending plan, with funding aimed at supporting continued growth, infrastructure improvements and economic development.
Mayor Rod Roberson says the budget will help the city maintain momentum from ongoing public and private investments, including projects tied to the ASPIRE initiative.
City officials also point to improving property tax projections and higher local income tax revenues as positive signs for Elkhart’s financial outlook.
