Porter County police officer hospitalized after chasing suspect

A police officer in Porter County is in the hospital after chasing a suspect accused of kidnapping a woman.

Indiana State Police got a caller, Saturday night, Nov. 20, who said a woman was kidnapped and being held at gunpoint inside a car.

Police found that car on I-94 just a few minutes later. Officers chased the suspect, who eventually crashed head-on with a squad car. Two suspects got out and tried to run.

One of the suspects, Aries Atlas, was tased and arrested.

The other suspect Samuel Kuhl, was arrested Sunday morning at a gas station. The officer involved in the crash was taken to the hospital, and will be okay.
