Massachusetts man killed in crash on US 35 in LaPorte County

A man from Massachusetts was killed in a crash in LaPorte County.

The collision happened around 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, in the area of U.S. 35 and County Road 400 North.

Police say the driver of a 2002 Ford Focus, Anthony Rosa, 35, of Springfield, was traveling southbound on US 35, lost control of the vehicle and hit a mailbox, a garbage container, two trees and came to rest next to a utility pole.

Rosa died at the scene.

Toxicology results are pending.
