South Bend man arrested, suspected of killing man in Fort Wayne

A South Bend man has been arrested — suspected of killing a man in Fort Wayne.

South Bend Police arrested Robert Dashon James, 33, on a charge of murder on Monday, Dec. 13.

Officials say that the charge stems from a shooting back on Nov. 5 in the City of Fort Wayne.

The victim, Tremaine Junior Barnett was found unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds in a vehicle.

He died a short time later at a local hospital. James was arrested without incident and is being extradited back to Fort Wayne.
