Four vehicle involved in crash on U.S. 12 in Cass County

Four vehicles were involved in a crash on U.S. 12 in Cass County during Monday’s icy conditions.

The collisions happened around 10 a.m. when a 59-year-old Elkhart man lost control of his vehicle and could not stop at the intersection with M-40.

THe man went through the stop sign, clipping the back of a vehicle driven by a Marcellus woman.

The man continued through the intersection, hitting a vehicle driven by 84-year-old Union man. He then struck a 3rd vehicle driven by a 59-year-old Elkhart man.

The driver who police say caused the collisions was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
