The number of people in hospitals across Indiana with COVID-19 has gone down in the last four days with a little more than 3,100 admitted right now.

The Indiana Department of Health says that’s the lowest since Jan. 2.

Lake County was one of Indiana’s first counties to get hit by the omicron variant.

COVID infections there have dropped by two-thirds since New Year’s Day.

As of Wednesday, Jan. 26, the entire state of Indiana was still “in the red zone” on the color-coded COVID-19 map.
