An Elkhart man is accused of beating, choking and sexually assaulting a woman.

Charges have been filed after the incident, which allegedly took place last summer.

The victim said Michael Nagy, 30, held her captive at a home on Silver Street, and choked her until she blacked out and then assaulted her.

At one point during the ordeal, The Elkhart Truth reports the woman grabbed a knife or fork and pointed it at him, demanding he let her leave.

She got her phone, ran out of the home and called 911.

Nagy was arrested during a traffic stop in December after allegedly threatening to kill police and their family members.
