Deputies in Berrien County are investigating a mysterious death in Pipestone Township.

Deputies responded to a call in the 5200 block of Old Pipestone Road shortly before 4:30 Thursday afternoon. A driver spotted the body of a woman in a ditch and contacted the police.

The woman is a 52 year-old from Pipestone Township. An autopsy is being performed in Kalamazoo and officials do not believe there is any threat to the public.
