Governor Holcomb has issued his first veto of the year.

Holcomb vetoed a bill passed by state lawmakers that would have dealt with creating more broadband access around the state as well as put limits on state administrative rule-making abilities.

In his veto message, Holcomb said there was very little debate on both matters and said both matters should have been more fully vetted.

The Governor also received veto requests from AT&T, the Indiana Farm Bureau and Accelarting Indiana’s Municipalities.

Indiana lawmakers must now decide whether to override the Governor’s veto.
