Woman found guilty for shooting death of 17-year-old boy in South Bend

A woman has been found guilty of murder in connection with the death of a 17-year-old boy in South Bend.

Kristy Lynn Hawkins, 38, shot and killed Allen Williams, in the midst of an argument between the teen and another woman. It happened back in June 2020 at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of Curtiss Drive.

According to court documents, Hawkins went to her car during the argument, returned with a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting Williams.

She is scheduled to be sentenced in late April.
