Hotels around Michiana are bracing themselves for an increase in visitors, but with a limited amount of staff.

Tourism is on the rise in the area, and before the inevitable rush of Notre Dame Football fans this fall, there are also big concert events coming to South Bend this summer from Garth Brooks and Billy Joel, as well as the Motocross of Nations at Redbud.

WSBT reports that Visit South Bend-Mishawaka expects travel to St. Joseph County to match or exceed pre-pandemic levels. There are still jobs to be filled in the hospitality sector to meet the coming demand.
